The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research is a charity close to my heart. in 2021, my Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. A percentage of proceeds from the sale of this necklace, which is designed using elements from the Fox Foundation's logo, will go directly to the non-profit.
I designed it so that if you're familiar with the Foundation, you'll recognize it immediately, but if you're not, it will still look like a beautiful necklace - people have said it looks like a butterfly, which represents spiritual rebirth, transformation, change, hope, and life. The magnificent yet short life of butterflies represents the process of spiritual transformation and serves to remind us that life is short.
It makes a thoughtful gift for anyone who has been affected by Parkinson's Disease. It comes beautifully packaged, ready to be gifted to a loved one or kept for yourself as a reminder of not only your support for a great cause, but also a reminder of change, hope and life.
I am determined to raise awareness and funds for to find a cure for this debilitating disease. In August I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro with Team Fox. Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro is an incredible undertaking, but it pales in comparison to the daily challenges faced by people with Parkinson's Disease.
I have also created mountain earrings and necklace, the proceeds of which also go to the Michael J Fox Foundation.
