How to Watch the NYC Marathon on November 3rd and Follow My Journey

The NYC Marathon is almost here! I'm gearing up to run my very first marathon, all in support of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, honoring my dad and everyone I met while climbing Kilimanjaro. This is definitely a one-time-only event for me, so I’m excited to share the experience with you, whether in person or from afar. Here’s how to watch the marathon and cheer me on! My wave starts at 11:30am (or a little after) and I am estimating 13-14 minute miles.

Where to Watch the Marathon

For Those in the UK:

  1. BBC iPlayer - Available to stream live. Just search for the New York City Marathon on race day.
  2. BBC Sport App and Website - Follow the marathon live with highlights, news, and more.
  3. FreeSports - Catch the NYC Marathon broadcast on FreeSports in the UK for full coverage.

For US and International Viewers:

  1. NYRR Mobile App - Download the official app for live updates, tracking, and more.
  2. Web Browser - Watch live coverage and track me directly here. I’ll be in the last wave starting at 11:30 am ET, so expect updates around then, with a slight delay possible.

How to Track My Progress

My bib number is 66112. You can use the app or tracking link to follow me in real time as I take on 26.2 miles across New York’s boroughs. I’m aiming to finish in around 6 hours, so feel free to check in on me periodically!

Watching in NYC? Let Me Know!

If you’ll be cheering from the sidelines in NYC, tell me where you’ll be (a mile marker is easier to remember than a street corner!) and which side of the street you’ll be on so I can look out for you. Every friendly face will mean so much along the route!

Leave Me a Motivational Message 🎙️

I’d love for you to leave a voice message for me to listen to while I’m running! Whether it’s a motivational message, a funny joke, or a heartfelt word of encouragement, it’ll lift my spirits along the way. You can only record 90 seconds, but feel free to record more than one and leave your message here.

Tips for Spectators in NYC

For those in NYC, here are some top spots to catch the action:

  • First Avenue (Miles 16-19): Known for its lively atmosphere and endless support from the crowd.
  • Central Park (Miles 23-26): As runners make their final push, the energy is electric—an amazing spot to see the race’s final moments.

Find full spectator tips, including the best timing and locations, on the NYRR website.

Thank you for being a part of this journey with me. Whether you’re cheering in person or sending your support virtually, your encouragement means the world to me! 🏃‍♀️💪
