These cufflinks can be personalized with two initials (one on each cufflink) that are translated into Braille.
Braille is the way in which blind and visually impaired people are able to read and write. I decided to make these cufflinks because both of my grandfathers were blind. It's no coincidence, my parents met through the friendship that my grandfathers had when they both went blind.
Each cufflink has an initial, in these photos, they are J and J.
Just let me know which initial you'd like on each and I will custom make them for you. I heat a small piece of silver so that it balls up for the raised balls and then solder them onto the square piece of silver.
The cufflinks are approximately 5/8" square and are soldered to sterling silver torpedo style cufflink backs.
A percentage of the profits for each sale will go to Concordia Learning Center at St. Joseph's School for the Blind in Jersey City: http://www.clcnj.org/
All of my jewelry comes in a gift box, with a ribbon, so it's ready for gift giving to friends or family - or a little treat just for you!
